The company said, More Yahoo-Facebook integrations are also on the way.
In a statement Yahoo said, the deal with Facebook is an effort “to give people one simple, trusted place to share information and connect. This offers great benefit to people across the Web, and it’s key to helping Yahoo extend our reach and increase engagement”.
According to Ethan Beard, director of Facebook Developer Network, “by integrating with Facebook on a global scale, Yahoo is building upon an already valuable brand to give people easy ways to share the content they enjoy on Yahoo! with their friends on Facebook.”
Yahoo has provided several details of the way people can connect with Facebook sites on its blog, but Facebook remained silent on the issue early Monday, without any details in its press center, blog or twitter feed. The most recent communications on these pages largely addressed privacy concerns.
According to Yahoo, it is making privacy settings easier to use with a central dashboard called Yahoo Pulse, but a link to the new dashboard could not be accessed as of the time of this writing.
Closer to last December, Yahoo and Facebook first announced their plan to integrate services. At the time, Yahoo users in the US were able to call up their Facebook activity streams and post status updates from the Yahoo home page, as well as use buttons to share certain Yahoo content. The companies promised much more this year via the use of Facebook’s Connect technology across Yahoo sites.

On Wednesday, Michael Jackson’s father and Gary has made an official announcement that work could begin next year on a $300 million museum and arts center dedicated to Michael Jackson in his hometown.
The late singer last visited Gary in 2003 to talk about the project, but no progress was made on it before his death last year. His father, Joe Jackson, said Wednesday that he was “just carrying out his legacy” by getting involved.
Joe Jackson said “this is a happy day for me as this is something that my family and Michael have always wanted”.
According to Gary Mayor Rudy Clay, the project would create thousands of jobs and, when finished, was expected to bring at least 750,000 visitors a year to the city. Estimated, the project would generate $100 million to $150 million in income for the community each year, drawing numbers of people from all over the world.
The money to build the Jackson Family Museum and Hotel and the Michael Jackson Performing Arts and Cultural Center and Theaters will come from investors and donations, according to Clay.
People said they were hopeful because Wednesday’s announcement was the furthest along the project has ever come, with the city’s donation of 300 acres of land.
Police Chief Gary O. Carter was impressed by Joe Jackson’s presence. “Why would he come all the way here if it wasn’t” going to happen, Carter said.
According to Seretha Harvey, 24, who grew up in Gary, she hoped to get project happen, and that it would bring jobs and help change people’s image of the financially struggling city.

Facebook is overhauling t6he privacy controls in the face of a barrage of criticism that it is betraying the trust which has made it the world’s biggest social network.
Facebook unveiled a redesigned privacy settings page to provide a single control for content and “significantly reduce” the amount of information that is always visible to everyone.
According to Facebook, it is giving users more control over how outside applications or websites access information at the service. Mark Zuckerberg, 26-year old founder of Facebook said, this is a pretty big overhaul to the system we already have, while outlining the changes during a press briefing at the social network’s headquarters in the California city of Palo Alto.
The revamped privacy controls will roll out in the coming days.
Last month, Facebook sparked criticism from privacy and consumer groups, US lawmakers and the European Union by adding the ability for partner websites to incorporate data regarding members of the social-networking service.
“Facebook has heard the call of its users and realizes that much greater privacy protections are needed,” according to US Senator Charles Schumer, who was among the legislators urging scrutiny of privacy at the service.
Schumer was among critics urging Facebook to make all user information private by default and then let people designate what they want to share case-by-case in an “opt-in” model.
Facebook has rejected such a model, saying the service that boasts more than 400 million members worldwide is based on a premise that people want to connect and share with friends.
The new privacy controls will apply to future features, including location-based services that Facebook is working on, according to the founder. He added the hubbub about privacy controls at Facebook has not resulted in hordes abandoning the service.
Facebook privacy controls have had nothing to do with pumping up advertising revenue, according to the founder.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) welcomed the Facebook changes but said they don’t go far enough. ACLU director Anthony Romero urged people to sign an online petition urging Facebook to fully protect members’ privacy. The petition has more than 80,000 signatures, according to the ACLU.

At “Dancing With the Stars”, the ladies are in the lead concern.
Sportscaster Erin Andrews and singer Nicole Scherzinger tied for the top spot on the next-to-last episode of the ABC dance-off, while fellow finalist Evan Lysacek finished third.
The Olympic figure skater collected 52 points out of 60 for his two dances. Andrews and Scherzinger each earned 55 points.
Each couple performed a freestyle routine and a “redemption dance” in a style the judges thought they should have excelled in but didn’t.
Redemption dance of Andrew scored the highest of the night: 29 points out of 30 for the samba she performed with professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
According to head judge Len Goodman, the improvement from the last time you danced the samba is fantastic, giving the couple a perfect 10. The judge Carrie Ann Inaba also gave the pair a 10.
The couple earned 26 points for their sexy freestyle routine, a modern dance that used a sofa and a bed as props and saw Andrews in a floaty nightgown.
Scherzinger and professional partner Derek Hough danced a romantic, redemptive rumba that earned them 28 points out of 30. Judge Bruno Tonioli gave the pair a perfect 10, describing the dance as “sensuality and romance seamlessly woven into something of extreme beauty.”
While Lysacek and professional partner Anna Trebunskaya collected 28 points for their redemptive Viennese waltz. Inaba, who gave the pair a perfect 10, called the dance a “beautiful, emotional dream.” But the couple faltered on their freestyle, turning in a disjointed dance to “Footloose” that earned them the night’s lowest score: 24 points out of 30.
The scores of the judges and the viewer votes are combined to determine who will take home the mirrorball trophy during Tuesday’s season finale.
The season finale will start with the favorite dances of the finalist, and all chose the same dance: the Argentine tango. The two top scorers will then face off with one final dance before the new champ is named.
The season finale will also be sizzled by the previously eliminated stars — actors Pamela Anderson, Shannen Doherty, Niecy Nash and Aiden Turner; reality stars Jake Pavelka and Kate Gosselin; astronaut Buzz Aldrin; and football star Chad Ochocinco — as they will perform new dances to close out the 10th season of the hit show.

Police and prosecutors said, a lone thief stole around a total of half a billion euros, which includes five paintings and works by Picasso and Matisse, in a brazen overnight heist Thursday from a Paris modern art museum.
According to Paris police, the paintings were reportedly missing from the Paris Museum of Modern Art, across the Seine River from the Eiffel Tower. Investigators have cordoned off the museum, in one of the French capital’s most tourist-frequented neighborhoods.
In a video surveillance camera, a single masked intruder was caught while entering the museum by a window and taking those paintings away, said the Paris prosecutor’s office. The collective worth of the paintings is estimated at (EURO) 500 million ($613 million)
The paintings were “Le pigeon aux petits-pois” (The Pigeon with the Peas) by Pablo Picasso, “Pastoral” by Henri Matisse, “Olive Tree near Estaque” by Georges Braque, “Woman with a Fan” by Amedeo Modigliani and “Still Life with Chandeliers” by Fernand Leger.
A woman who answered the phone at the museum said questions about the theft would only be answered by the office of Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe. Delanoe’s office did not immediately return calls for immediately comment.

Singer Ricky Martin have also joined the criticism of Arizona’s new law that will allow police to stop anyone they think might be an illegal immigrant.
Martin said, appearing at the Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony Thursday, the law “makes no sense,” and he urged an end to discrimination, hate and racism.
“Long live love, long live peace,” he told the audience at the award show in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Martin received a standing ovation when he walked on stage, making one of his first public appearances since announcing he is gay. “This is not in the script,” he said as he launched into his criticism.
“You are not alone. We are with you,” Martin said, adding “Put a stop to discrimination. Put a stop to hate. Put a stop to racism.”
Mexican pop singer Paulina Rubio also criticized the law, as did Larry Hernandez, who won Latin Artist of the Year and said he began his career in Phoenix.
Hernandez said, “It’s regrettable that they are discriminating against us for the simple fact of looking Latino. It’s not fair. We have to say no to that law.”

A novel about Frank Lloyd Wright’s love life has inspired a new tour at Taliesin in southwest Wisconsin.
“Loving Frank: A Novel”, Nancy Horan’s best-selling has brought attention to the tourist destination in Spring Green, which had a record attendance last season of about 28,500 people.
It’s based on the relationship between the famous architect and his real-life mistress Mamah Borthwick Cheney.
In the novel, the two-hour tour looks at Taliesin from Borthwick’s point of view and includes readings and a stop at a nearby cemetery to see Borthwick’s grave.
The Wright used the property in Spring Green as a laboratory of sorts, changing and expanding it until he died in 1959.
The tour is about to be held on the second and fourth Fridays from May through October.
